As a baby, JR was put to sleep with CLASSICAL music in the background. He was seen playing along with different LP records on imaginary DRUMS with real drum sticks when he was 12. A year later he got his ACOUSTIC guitar. When he was 14, his father took him to Croatia, and bought him his first electric bass and a case which was more expensive than the old Eko BASS. They smuggled the bass back to Slovenia without paying the customs, but for safety reasons, thE amplifier was bought in Slovenia... JR played in different bands, ROCK, SOUL, METAL, DIXIE, POP, FUNK...

After high school he switched to double bass. He studied with Wayne Darling at the Jazz department of University for music and performing arts IN Graz, AUSTRIA, where he got his MASTEr OF ARTs degree. He COMPOSES MUSIC for and performS with his own as well as with other bands AND ARTISTS, UNBURDENED BY STYLE AND GENRE FRAMES.

When not on tOUR (MOSTLY IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES) OR IN VIENNA, AUSTRIA, he can be found in a small village called Ljubljana, WHICH is also the capitol of Slovenia, by the way...which is a part of the European Union, by the way...
